Brook Street Social Care are recruiting for a Recovery Worker on behalf of their client who have transformed the lives of people affected by drug and alcohol misuse for 40 years.This is an exciting opportunity to join an personalised and developing team, based in Hull. The Recovery Worker role will support you to develop the skills and knowledge to support service users with diverse and complex needs and their families with issues relating to substance use including alcohol. The successful candidate will learn to undertake an assessment of need from a person centred and strength-based perspective. You will develop a good understanding of recovery and gain a value base that stems from a strongly held working belief in individual’s ability to change and live in recovery along with a desire to ensure each service user has access to the information and `tools` needed to live a fulfilling life in recovery.
Main Responsibilities
Conduct risk/need assessments and implement risk management/care plans in line with
policies and procedures.
- Conduct risk/need reviews as per service user requirements
- To devise, monitor, review and update recovery care plans within the service in line with
- Deliver care packages including, where appropriate, psycho-logic, and psychological
- Function as part of a multi-disciplinary team, contributing to team meetings as required.
- Manage cases in line with a recovery focused model, utilising 1-2-1 sessions as
- To effectively communicate across the service.
- Undertake screening for Drug and Alcohol use.
- To maintain and update accurate service user records in line with policies and
- Liaise and work with other health and social care providers as required
- To communicate concerns regarding service user’s children and safeguarding concerns
- To keep up to date case notes, in line with policy, ensuring all interactions regarding
- Maintain the security and confidentiality of information, ensuring that such information is
- To report as soon as practicable any incidents, complaints, or grievances
- Make recommendations regarding safeguarding referrals for Adults or Children
- Take necessary precautions during times of lone working whilst adhering to policies and
Salary 22390 - 27062 DOE
