The Department
Body Engineering is one of the larger teams within the Jaguar and Land Rover PD organisation. The department has complete responsibility for the design, development, and delivery of all Jaguar and Land Rover Interior and Exterior systems from concept design through to volume production.
Key Purpose of Role
The main purpose of the role is lead programme development and delivery ensuring the Commodity Strategy is deployed robustly into the programmes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop Wiper and Washer systems which includes management & progression of issues relating to both product and process.
- Lead internal department resolution and manage the supplier base.
- Support ML and SPL development and reporting processed.
- Drive issues resolution through programme design and build phases. On site working at supplier and JLR build locations will be required.
Skills, experience and qualifications
- Strong communications skills
- Technical and practical knowledge of wiper and/or washer systems and BIW or Electrical would be preferable
- Strong Engineering skill set through the full product cycle from concept to launch
- Show a strong desire to deliver improvements in product and process development
- Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, self-confidence and a ’passion for the product’
- High drive, self-motivated and able to deliver with minimum supervision
- Committed, flexible, and able to work under pressure delivering within tight timelines.
- Previous programme delivery experience preferred.
- Experience of cross functionality problem resolution desired
- Experience of exterior systems & BIW delivery would be an advantage
