Job Introduction

BBC Creative is the BBC’s in-house Creative agency. Our purpose is to make as many people as possible love and value the BBC, by creating campaigns that will leave a positive mark on popular culture.

We are now looking for aJunior Traffic Manager to join us in London.

You would join a team of creatively minded Producers, Traffic Managers, Production Managers and Production Co-ordinators, responsible for delivering the promotional campaigns and branding for the BBC, its content and services across all platforms – TV, digital, social, OOH etc. Our work varies hugely - from Strictly Come Dancing to Glastonbury to FA Cup to RuPaul’s Drag Race UK – working across all the brands and genres – from BBC One to Radio 1, iPlayer to Cbeebies, Drama to Live events.

Main Responsibilities

As a Junior Traffic Manager you will manage the workflow, production and delivery of projects from brief to completion, ensuring all projects are delivered on time and to budget.

You will act as a central point of contact, working closely with all areas of the Creative team (including Promotions, Design, Audio, Digital and Pictures) as well as building excellent relationships with our BBC Marketing and BBC Media Planning colleagues in order to successfully deliver BBC advertising campaigns on time and within budget.

Reporting to the Traffic Head, you will work closely with the Creative Heads as well as more widely with all areas of Creative. You will also be mentored by a more senior Traffic Manager.

You will also be responsible for:

  • Task managing Production Coordinators and Production Team Assistants
  • Managing effective workflow and delivery of BBC campaigns from brief to completion
  • Setting up and managing budgets
  • Allocating resource and managing capacity
Are you the right candidate?

You will have well-developed skills associated with production support in a promotions or advertising environment, which would include:

  • Budgeting and financial reporting, including forecasting
  • Workflow management, planning time and tracking deliverables across multiple projects
  • Resource allocation (people and facilities)
  • Production Management and experience overseeing productions (clips based, shoots, animations etc)
  • Line management / mentoring experience, overseeing the work of Production Coordinators and Production Assistants.
