Job Title– IT Technician / Helpdesk (2nd line)

Hours– 37.5 Hours per week

Location– Annan

Contract- Permanent

Salary– £21,000 to £25,000 DOE

Our fantastic, rapidly growing client within the local region is seeking highly skilled and motivated IT Technicians. This is a great opportunity to work for one of the leading IT solutions providers in the region, offering tailored solutions to clients ranging from small businesses to larger organisations with over 1,500 users. You will join an experienced team with expertise in providing reliable support and top-tier customer service.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Manage and triage support tickets raised
  • Provide IT support for software and hardware including:

Windows 10/11, Microsoft 365, VoIP Telephony Systems, various other cloud platforms Build and maintain rapport with customers

  • Onsite client visits / field work as required
  • Provide troubleshooting and technical support
  • Assist in resolving complex IT issues
  • Participate in projects for system upgrades and migrations
  • Perform on-site support and maintenance
  • Collaborate with other team members for escalated tickets
  • Work on a rota to cover 7am to 7pm
  • Weekend rotas may also berequired

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Skilled in ITIL Disciplines around fix and fulfil ticket management
  • Minimum 2 years experience in a similar role
  • Experienced in Network Infrastructure Management, including VLAN set up and configuration
  • Experience with Active Directory and Group Policy Management
  • You will be a pro at Microsoft 365, including Azure and AD Sync
  • Ability to support network services including WAN, LAN and WLAN
  • Experience configuring switches, routers, firewalls etc
  • Demonstrable experience in an IT support role
  • Understanding of DHCP DNS
  • Understanding of BT Voice and Horizon platforms
  • UK Drivers license is desirable
