Contract Type:Temporary (3 months)

Shift Pattern:8.00am - 4.30pm (Mon-Fri)

Talento is thrilled to be recruiting for a General Operative for our client based in Annan. Our client is gearing up for a busy period and are seeking temporary members of staff to assist in this at their production facility on a farm located in Annan.

The ideal candidate will have good attendance, punctuality, and a strong work ethic. It is essential that you are physically fit with the ability to lift 25kgs.

As it is a production environment, you must have a keen eye for quality, detail, and the ability to stay standing at a packing line for a few hours.

Your role:

  • You’ll be passionate about completing jobs and tasks set to a high standard, we value individuals with a ‘can-do’ attitude.
  • Assisting in the production and dispatch of customers’ orders.
  • You’ll be expected to maintain high levels of cleanliness in your operating area and a clean down between and after production runs.
  • You’ll be expected to work as an effective team with line staff and the Operations Manager to meet the required targets.
  • You’ll need to have good communication skills and the ability to focus whilst doing repetitive tasks.
  • Listen to and carry out instructions precisely and accurately.
  • A good understanding of basic English; both verbally and in writing.

Required skills:

  • Ideally the candidate would have prior experience to a fast-paced packing environment.
  • The candidate must be able to commute reliably.

Desired skills:

  • Horticultural skills and knowledge is a bonus.

Job Type: Temporary contract
Contract length: 3 months

Salary: £10.50 per hour

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Annan, Dumfries and Galloway: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
