The Position

Working Hours:

Monday to Friday – 9 to 17.30

Salary:

£12,000- £14,000 pa

Role and Responsibilities

As an IT support technician, you will support our customers with their day-to-day IT queries as well as making sure that all services are maintained and up to date. This includes network devices, client machines, and cloud servers (AWS).

The role will involve external customer communication and support, so it is essential that you are comfortable communicating at all levels and able to remain calm and think on your feet when under pressure.

  • Supporting customers over the phone and via email with day-to-day queries.
  • Supporting customers by keeping tickets up to date with all relevant notes and responses.
  • Managing IT equipment and stock in and out of the business.
  • Perform IT admin for customers through basic tasks such as creating users, resetting passwords, etc.
  • Setting up IT and network devices for customers.
  • Keeping customer devices and services secure and up to date.
  • Creating and setting up intricate networks and ensuring they stay secure.
  • Supporting the fixed line (Broadband and Telephony) team during busy times.
  • Any other tasks that management see fit.

Desired Qualities, Skills and Knowledge:

  • Holds a driving licence.
  • Has a base knowledge on multiple operating systems (Mac OS/Windows/Linux).
  • Has knowledge of Microsoft products.
  • Has knowledge on popular cloud/on premise servers.
  • Has a basic understanding of VoIP and Broadband services.
  • Has previous experience in IT support.
  • Is comfortable answering the phone and conversing via email.
  • Is a strong team player with ability to also work alone.
  • Is able to be organised and able to structure your own working day
  • Is a creative individual with the ability to think outside the box to find solutions to complex issues.
  • Is confident in their own skills.
  • Has the ability to create strong relationships with customers and staff.
  • Is a strong communicator.
  • Is well organised.

Has the ability to complete tasks in a timely manner
