The Commercial Insurance Sales team’s primary function is high-volume inbound lead management and outbound calling to UK business, focused on acquiring new customers for our products and services.The Sales Manager is responsible for ensuring that the team achieves its financial targets and objectives, with a customer-centric focus always maintained. Your role will include but not be limited to:- Successfully execute our sales plan achieving all targets and objectives
- Provide team members with high level technical support across all our policies and platforms
- Build, manage and uphold excellent relationships with key insurance partners
- Maintain a full team headcount, being proactive in all recruitment, induction, and training
- Coach and develop direct reports, improving their individual and collective capabilities
- Ensure all activity complies with GDPR, FCA, CASS regulations and our quality standards
- Ensure all reports, system and CRM updates are completed in a timely and accurate manner
- Conduct and record open and honest monthly one-to-one appraisals, with all team members
- Address individual underperformance through supportive performance management
- Actively contribute to improving our New Business team processes and procedures
- Develop an expert knowledge of our systems, processes, products and services
- Create excellent working relationships across the TIO and Verastar colleague community
- Successful track record of leading a high-volume desk based B2B sales team in the commercial insurance industry
- Proven experience in the successful delivery of sales team development, coaching and performance management plans
- Demonstrable experience of B2B sales processes and best practices, including dialler, lead management and CRM system usage
- Expert knowledge of the regulatory requirements impacting B2B sales organisations in the insurance industry
- Relatable and positive experience of working in a fast-paced transforming organisation, where everything isn’t perfect, but we’re working hard to get there.
- A CII qualification is desirable.
