What You Need To Know.

Working on-site at HMP Stocken, our Inclusion Support Co-ordinators work collaboratively with Instructors, Teachers and Trainers to provide support to learners with an identified need. They promote an effective and inclusive learning environment, providing support to learners in a variety of settings. The role requires them to contribute to the planning, delivery and evaluation of learning and Skills activities provided to learners and assist the teacher(s) in the implementation of the pupils’ curriculum.

How Can You Stand Out From The Crowd.

You will need to demonstrate high ethical standards, take personal accountability for everything you do, and always want to be the best. You should have a passion for what you do along with relevant and recent experience. Ideally you will hold an NVQ2/NVQ3 Teaching Assistant qualification or be willing to work towards one with the full support of PeoplePlus. You should have a good level of IT competence with an eye for detail. You will need to be confident in using a diverse range of resources and communication skills and be confident and professional when interacting with disadvantaged groups. ?

Please note there are restrictions in place when working in a Secure Environment. Electronic items such as mobile phones or tablets are not permitted. Some prisons do not allow any money to be taken in. In that case, you exchange money for tokens which you can exchange for tea/coffee/food etc.
