What To Expect

The purpose of this role will be to lead and implement high quality finance solutions to support the achievement of JLR’s sustainability objectives through proactive Finance business partnering. Need to balance cost, impact, set priorities and timing and operate over the entire functional network of the company, building credible productive partnerships with Senior Stakeholders. This role will also develop networks with the central finance teams.

In your role you’ll:
  • Lead finance solutions to support the strategic direction of the business while ensuring the Finance strategy / approach is aligned across the business unit
  • Support the Functional Directors to achieve short and long term strategic objectives by delivering plans and initiatives through Finance Business Partnering
  • Lead and present financial information such as forecasts, budgets and business plans to ensure these are aligned to strategic objectives
  • Deliver financial reports to operational and senior stakeholders to inform key business decision making and strategic business planning
  • Undertake detailed scenario planning and project scoping and management and highlighting potential risks to achieve financial operational and strategic objectives
  • Work with the wider finance community to implement new systems, policy formulation and planning to deliver finance strategies / initiatives
  • To calculate detailed finance sensitivities to drive key value levers and use financial analytics to identify opportunities to improve business performance
  • Undertake any other work as directed by their line manager in connection with their job as may be requested

What You’ll Need

Essential:
  • Proven Finance Business Partner experience at a Senior level ideally gained within a large, complex organisation
  • Proficient financial and commercial business acumen shown through evidence of developing, introducing new or innovative practices/processes in support of strategic business goals.
  • Exceptional numerical, analytical skills supported by advanced communication and presentation skills – used to translate financial issues for operational teams
  • Ability to multi-task, work accurately at speed and under pressure balancing delivery of conceptual work with attention to detail and hands on delivery
  • Strong analytical background, project management and delivery skills
  • Strong IT skills, particularly with Excel
  • Customer focused – ability to determine service requirements and performance measures, and initiate solutions
  • Degree or relevant equivalent experience preferred

Desirable:
  • International experience ideally working for Blue-chip organisations
  • Continuous improvement ‘mind set’ with the ability to identify and implement robust solutions and enhancements
  • CIMA or ACCA qualified or working towards
