As Group Operations Communications Manager you’ll be accountable for driving internal communications and engagement across the group estate through events, quarterly briefings, innovative communication channels and self-service tools – enabling strong change, team engagement and authentic two-way dialogue.

Reporting to the Head of Group Operational Change & Implementation the Group Communications Manager has responsibility for leading a team of Communication, Engagement and Intranet coordinators whilst developing strategic communications across the organization. The Group Communications Manager will partner closely with senior leaders, field teams and departments to support the communication of strategic priorities, key transformation initiatives and business performance.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Build and deliver the internal communications plan that is aligned with the Group strategy, optimising available communication tools
  • Accountable for all Group communications into sites in addition to supporting both the voice of the COO and Directors to our colleagues
  • Ensure all propositional changes are communicated with a clear flight plan for launch through our communications framework
  • Defining the right communications platform for optimal colleague engagement
  • Accountable for the accuracy of all internal communications to support clarity for colleagues and our field team
  • Partners with the People team to support the colleague engagement strategy and is responsible for embedding our culture and values within communications
  • Creation and delivery of events such as quarterly briefings, conferences and roadshows
  • Support the business PR communications team with responses to operational incidents
  • Lead successful communications and intranet coordinators that continue to build the reputation of the function as a trusted team and centre of expertise
  • Regular engagement with the broader Group Central Ops team to promote the colleague communications and engagement plan for consistency within Operations
  • Translate complex and technical content for a variety of audiences ensuring consistency and clarity of messaging across the business

What we’re looking for:

  • This person will be an operations professional, ideally (but not essential) with experience working across retail or HAC, either within stores / garages or within a supporting role.
  • The person will be able to evidence a strong understanding and evidence delivery of accurate communications and be able to build the plan that supports execution.
  • This person will be experienced in using MS tools to deliver communications and ideally hold experience of A/V communication tools.

Field based role with business travel required at times.
