The Communications Coordinator (Intranet) is accountable for supporting internal communications and engagement across the group estate through the Intranet communication channel, and self-service tools. The coordinator will help to implement an effective communications strategy that will raise the profile and impact of effective communication and clarity to a wide range of audiences. Reporting to the Group Operations Communications Manager, the coordinator will be responsible for implementing communication projects as well as providing administrative support

Responsibilities:

Develop and execute original ideas and programmes to drive the internal communications strategy.

Drive engagement around the intranet and colleague mobile app, as well as internal communication events and business wide initiatives

Partner with teams and colleagues to collaborate on colleague engagement methods and initiatives, for example, using the self-search function, compliance messages and training.

Support a robust calendar of internal campaigns.

Challenge current forms of communication, suggesting different and innovative ways to deliver messages.

Support, produce and plan engaging copy to ensure all areas of the company’s content (such as news, blogs, and communication channels) are up-to-date and relevant, ensuring the appropriate tone of voice.

Contribute to team brainstorms and idea generation for content, brand initiatives and campaigns.

Maintain and update relevant internal communication documentation, with a particular focus on intranet documentation and databases. Work alongside other teams to develop and engage colleagues in department content, liaising with the agency and commercial teams to produce successful creatives

Manage colleague access to the intranet

Manage and report on engagement information.

Ensure the successful delivery of the Group Intranet development and associated platforms.

Support with packing ad hoc mailers and fulfilling any requests from the Group Communications Manager.

Experience:

This person will be an operations professional, ideally with experience working across the business either within operations or in a supporting role. The person will be able to evidence a strong understanding, and evidence delivery of accurate communications. This person will be experienced in using MS tools to deliver communications and ideally hold experience of A/V communication tools, including editing and broadcasting software and techniques.
