Paralegal - Costs – Coventry
The successful candidate will undertake a variety of data gathering and information recording activities, on behalf of a File Handler, to facilitate the rapid settlement of cases and the closure of files.
The role is a flexible agile role with 1 working at our newly refurbished Coventry office. The role would suit a recent graduate with some legal work experience or candidate with legal administration experience
Key Accountabilities
• Update Tracker with file allocations, diary records, court applications and general activity to ensure accurate recording of activity and allow progress tracking.
• Follow up on outstanding instructions, documents and other actions to ensure that responses are received within required timescales.
• Make payment requests using the appropriate payment request process for the client and chase to ensure payments are received and dispatched within required deadlines
• Diarising
• Undertake additional ad hoc duties to support File Handler and the team as required, which may include:
• File closure/transfer activities
• Completion of management information
Qualifications & Experience
• Experience of working in a legal environment is desirable
• Good communication skills and experience of negotiating with and influencing 3rd parties to obtain information
• IT Literate; Proficient in MS Office (notably Excel, Word and Outlook)
