Graduate Engineering Geologist

Working together with clients, we deliver solutions to challenging problems in Mining & Minerals, Infrastructure & Energy, and Property & Development.
The Opportunity:
The role will include:
· Completion of Phase I contaminated land, mining /geology and ground engineering desk studies;
· Act as a Site Agent or supporting role, supervising multiple ground investigation / ground remediation / CQA activities on either short and longer duration projects;
· Supervision of site works including logging of soils and rock (in accordance with current UK standards);
· Specify and supervise in-situ testing and sampling in accordance with UK specifications and current technical standards;
· Liaise with clients, engineers, contractors and sub-contractors throughout the site work phase;
· Assist in the preparation of contract documentation and administration of contracts (including financial control),
· Geo-environmental data assessment and analysis; and
· Factual and interpretative reporting and gas and groundwater monitoring.
About you:
We are looking for a professional, dynamic and motivated Graduate or someone with 1-2 years experience with ability to work alone and as part of a team. Communicative, organised, flexible and committed, you must also have:
- BSc in Geology, Engineering Geology, Environmental Science or similar, MSc or industry experience is advantageous;
- A full and clean UK driving licence;
- Confidence and knowledge of UK ground investigation techniques; and
- Written report writing skills, and computer software skills.
