Geography Teacher - September 2021 - Preston

A secondary school in Preston has approached Hays seeking a Geography Teacher from September until December, with a potential to extend beyond that.


Your new company
Hays Education are a market leader in the North West and have a number of exclusive partnerships with secondary schools across Preston and the surrounding area. This good secondary school has approached Hays seeking a Teacher of Geography to start in September for a minimum of 1 term. The school is based in South Preston and therefore easily accessible from all areas of the North West.

Your new role
In this role you will be teaching Geography across KS3 and KS4 to mixed ability pupils. You will be responsible for the planning and preparation of lessons and the marking and assessment of pupils work. You will be fully involved in school life attend additional school functions such as departmental meetings.

What you’ll need to succeed
To be successful in securing this role you must have QTS/QTLS or be a Newly Qualified Teacher (NQT) and have experience teaching in the UK curriculum across KS3 and KS4. You will have a positive approach and a passion for teaching Geography. You will be able to build relationships with your pupils and work as part of a team with the Humanities Department. You will be available from September and able to commit to the role until Christmas as a minimum
