Summary

The Support & Revenue Directorate is key to the delivery of our organisational strategy and you’ll be seen as an essential part of its success. We bring together all the major supporter facing income streams for Membership, Fundraising and Commercial (including food and beverage, retail, holidays, online, brand licensing and our corporate partnerships.

We lead with experience and expertise, guide with care and empathy and work collaboratively, we also have fun on the way. You’ll be encouraged to learn how each team in the Directorate plays its part and to share your own knowledge and ideas.

This post is contractually based at our offices in Swindon but is currently working remotely. There will be an opportunity to explore and agree remote working arrangements which strike the right balance for you and the Trust

What you’ll be doing

Working closely with the Fundraising Director, you will use your confident communication and organisation skills to be a vital cog in the Fundraising team. Using your diary management expertise, you will help to keep things simple and?be one step ahead, ensuring that schedules are realistic and run to plan. You’ll be comfortable liaising with a range of internal and external stakeholders, including senior National Trust staff, trustees, major donors, grant funders and their offices – of acting as an important point of contact.

You will be responsible for coordinating and prioritising the Fundraising Director’s work schedule and activities, providing efficient diary management, tracking events, preparing presentations, meeting briefs and other correspondence as required.? You’ll attend team meetings to gain a deeper understanding of the day-to-day operations of the Fundraising team.

You will be keen to learn and develop expertise in our CRM system, Salesforce, and Fundraising database, Raiser’s Edge, as well as develop skills in fundraising and communications.

There may be the scope to take on some project work when capacity allows and as your experience develops in the role.? You will also play your part in supporting more efficient ways of working, smarter travel and carbon and cost reduction.

You’ll be working as a part of the Business Services community, and you’ll be encouraged to identify new ways to improve existing Business Service processes and share your ideas with your colleagues at team meetings.?

Who we’re looking for

You’ll be a team player ready to partner as a running mate with the Fundraising Director as we prepare for significant growth. You can run with a variety of requests, using your ability to prioritise and your extensive experience in Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint to complete tasks efficiently and to short deadlines.?

  • Extensive experience in diary management
  • Proficiency in Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Experience communicating with a wide range of stakeholders and maintaining a strong sense of discretion
  • Experience in recording and tracking of meeting actions
  • Have clear written and verbal communication skills
  • An ability to prioritise your workload and forward plan
  • Helpful and approachable
  • Be a flexible, proactive, and enthusiastic team player who is comfortable to share your ideas
  • Have an interest in the fundraising and the charity sector and be open to learning new skills
