Finance Business Partner, Clinical Core Services Division – Band 8b

North Bristol NHS Trust is an ambitious teaching and research organisation, and a specialist regional centre for Major Trauma, Neurosciences, Plastics and Burns, Orthopaedics and Renal services. The Trust has a turnover of over £600m and over 8,000 staff which are predominately based in our state of the art building on the Southmead Hospital site. The Trust is proud that our clinical teams have built a strong reputation for exceptional healthcare, personally delivered.

We are currently advertising for a new member of our Finance Business Partnering team. We are looking for a dedicated and innovative self-starter to support the development and delivery of the financial plan and provide high quality, forward thinking support to the Core Clinical Services Division. The Division comprises of Pathology Sciences, Imaging, Pharmacy, Therapies, Outpatients and Clinical Equipment Services.

Clinical success requires strong support services. The Finance team at North Bristol NHS Trust prides itself on constantly striving to better inform and advise our clinicians and decisions makers so they can continue to serve our local community and beyond. Finance is a progressive team and provides a gateway to further opportunities in your NHS career.

We believe strongly in giving every member of our team the tools and support to make a real difference to the organisation, whilst developing them as an individual in order to progress on their chosen career path.

You will be responsible for the provision of expert financial and business knowledge, analytical support and business information to clinical and non-clinical colleagues.

The successful applicant will have real scope and autonomy to shape and develop the role themselves. This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to make a tangible and lasting contribution to the development and financial stability of the division within which they operate and the Trust as a whole.

No two days will be the same but expect to become a fully embedded member of the Divisional Management Team involving regular contact with clinicians and managers, whilst being supported by your Divisional Finance Manager, the Management Accounts team and the wider Finance team.

This will be a very rewarding role and will give the successful applicant a broad range of professional development and experience in all aspects of the activities of a busy teaching hospital.

You must be a qualified CCAB accountant with a good track record of delivering results. NHS experience is desirable but not essential as we have a very good track record of supporting new colleagues with no prior NHS experience.
