At IDBS, our Field Solutions Consultants provide business support to Account Managers throughout the sales cycle; demonstrating products to customers to show how they will meet their requirements and discuss the use of IDBS’ services to acquire maximum business benefit. They also develop relationships with Customer Support and Product Managers to ensure that they continue to develop their product and services knowledge based on qualified feedback from customers.
The position is customer facing and requires strong domain knowledge, technical skills, good interpersonal skills and an understanding of business value in order to grasp customer requirements, from both a technical and business perspective. Core Responsibilities
Collaborate with the Global Field Operations team to help qualify the customers’ needs and drive the engagement through to a successful sale.
Define and articulate the customers journey towards a successful deployment of the IDBS platform
Develop customer and IDBS partner relationships
Provide support to the Account Managers and assist with the qualification of customer opportunities from a product/solution fit
As a Solutions Consulting Team member, work to review and improve our pre-sales materials. Apply focus on the value proposition and “buying enablement” for our customers
Provide customer feedback to the Product Managers and Marketing teams on existing products and industry trends. Required Proficiencies
Candidates should have proven understanding of at least one of our target markets (Pharmaceuticals, Biotech/Biologics development, Analytical Sciences, Agrochemical, Medicinal Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry or Food & Beverage)
Degree level qualification and/or equivalent R&D focused skills in at least one of the target markets
Candidates should demonstrate excellent presentation and interpersonal skills with an ability to explain complex scenarios in a simple manner
Connect with a diverse customer community such as scientists, IT, Department Heads, Senior Management and Business Sponsors
