What To Expect

This role sits in the People Experiences team, leading the My Opportunities Squad as part of the wider My Belonging team.

The role of Experience Lead, My Opportunities is to transform JLR’s Talent Management and Succession approach in support of creating a strong sense of belonging across the organisation by enabling career progression and talent development opportunities that help our people achieve their potential and career aspirations, whilst ensuring the business has the right talent capability to deliver its strategic objectives and deliver business impact.

In your role you’ll:
  • Undertake Experience Lead role for My Opportunities squad, including leading the squad; transforming the global Talent and Succession Management strategy, plan and roadmap of products to support our culture; setting sprint goals and priorities, working with squad members to deliver priority outcomes, both for on-cycle and off-cycle capabilities
  • Bring outside-in perspective, latest trends and benchmark information to identify best practice and initiatives and develop these concepts within the context of Jaguar Land Rover
  • Develop strong external networks
  • Review future approach to talent identification including model of potential, aligned to the JLR Behaviours – the Creators’ Code
  • Onboarding and development of new Enterprise Leaders
  • Development of Successors (including coaching provision)
  • Drive effective practices through unity with the wider HR community and Talent Board Chairs
  • Coordination and Facilitation of Talent Board 1
  • Support Experience Lead, My Belonging with preparation for Talent Board 0
  • Work with agility to ensure the achievement of planned outcomes
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure effective Change Management on priorities
  • Represent the Company’s best interests and the employer brand and integrity when attending meetings and negotiating with external parties on a local and national level
  • Apply working knowledge of key HR practices, best practice and industry knowledge when collaborating with internal and external stakeholders
  • Undertake any other work as directed by their line manager in connection with their job as may be requested

What You’ll Need

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

Essential:
  • Subject matter expert with strong experience in Talent and Succession Management
  • Commercially astute with an ability to understand the business context that Talent Management supports
  • The ability to combine the current business context and external best practice to deliver fit for purpose interventions
  • The ability to build effective working relationships and work collaboratively with key stakeholders, internal colleagues and external suppliers
  • Strong influencing skills
  • Strong data and analytical skills
  • Strong organisation skills
  • General HR knowledge

Desirable:
  • Knowledge and experience of Agile mindset and methodology (including use of JIRA, Confluence etc)
  • Advanced facilitation skills
  • Qualified coach
  • CIPD qualified
  • Working knowledge of Success Factors
