A position has become available to join our team as an Exhibit Handler/Administrator on a permanent contract. This is a multi-functional and physical role where you will be liaising with our wide range of customers; and be involved in receiving and returning a broad range of forensic samples including those from serious crime scenes and mass disasters. We deal with criminal cases submitted by police forces and are responsible for maintaining the validity of the evidence receipted. We also play a key logistical role within the business in achieving timely and accurate results.


This role is busy and varied and would suit an individual who is capable of working well under pressure and to tight deadlines with a flexible and team-orientated approach. Experience of spreadsheet and database packages e.g. Word, Excel and Access is essential as well as computer and keyboard skills. You will also have the ability to multi-task in order to meet the changing priorities that occur throughout the day.


You will also be required to have meticulous attention to detail and the ability to communicate clearly and concisely in both written and verbal forms and a pro-active approach to process improvement and problem-solving.


Experienced trainers provide dedicated support throughout the initial weeks of training guiding you through the live environment to competency and sign off. There will then be a period of performing the trained tasks with support and mentoring provided around this.


The full-time hours for this position are 37.5 hours compressed into 4 days (3 days working 9.5 hours and one day working 9 hours). The non-working day will rotate backwards on a five-week rotating shift pattern.
