Your role
Cryptocurrency analyst – Director Level

Your role

We’re looking for a researcher with several years’ experience to help maintain and develop our coverage of the fast-moving and complex digital asset space. You will contribute to our existing offering of crypto publications, which includes a bi-weekly market monitor, bite-sized treatment of topical issues in the intervening weeks and quarterly deep-dives into areas like market microstructure. This role will be based in London, at least initially.

Your team
The close-knit Global FX Strategy group straddles London, Zurich and New York. We have decades of experience and diverse skillsets but still collaborate closely with economists and other asset strategists at the firm. We service internal sales and trading as well as external clients of UBS’ Investment Bank and Asset/Wealth Management units globally.

Your expertise
Your key responsibilities

  • Identifying and investigating trends, investment opportunities and market vulnerabilities across the most liquid coins/tokens
  • Monitoring and analysing relevant news and on-chain data, with a primary focus on the one- to six-month horizon
  • Educating colleagues and clients, via dialogue and regular publications
  • Building a network of industry sources

Your Skills And Experience

The successful candidate must have:

  • Great academic pedigree, ideally with a Masters’ or higher degree or a coding/quant background
  • A solid grasp of macroeconomics and financial markets
  • Intellectual curiosity and integrity, critical reasoning skills and an affinity for creative solutions
  • Excellent written English and the ability to convey ideas clearly and concisely in person
  • Familiarity with Bloomberg, E-views or a similar and Python a plus
