Key details:

Job Title:HGV Driver/Driver Assesor

Shift Pattern:Monday to Friday; Days, (nights out as required)

Contracted Hours Per Week:48 hours a week

Location:Launceston

Start Date:ASAP

Salary:£36,192, plus additional pay for driver assessor, nights out & bank holidays

About the role:

As a HGV Driver for DS Smith you will transport paper materials across our UK sites. You will drive one of our vehicles (with curtain-side trailer) with up to date equipment and technology, and of course, safety is paramount to us. You will be based from our site in Launceston and do daily UK runs,

Key responsibilities:

· The safe transport of paper products throughout the UK

· Providing good customer service at our sites

· Being a positive representative for the company whilst on the road

· Inducting new drivers

· Performing driver assessments and training to ensure drivers are competent and trained to correct standards while identifying areas of improvement and corrective action plans

· Deliver training regarding fuel economy and defensive driving

· Deliver Manual handling training

What are we looking for from the successful candidate?

You will need:

· A Category Class 1 Driving Licence

· A valid DCPC

· A Valid Tacho card

· Ideally previous experience of driving Class 1 vehicles in the UK or Europe
