About the role
We have an exciting, opportunity for a number of Accountants to join the Finance team at our Business Service Centre in Caerphilly . The primary purpose of the role is to work with Finance colleagues to deliver a world class accounting service across the UK business.
Working in our state of the art facility you will get involved in an number of activities include preparing, collecting, and providing financial information; submitting budgets, reports, forecasts, and statutory returns; dealing with audits and year end reporting; and ensuring compliance with financial controls and regulatory standards on a UK and European level.
Your remit will include but not limited to:
  • Processing and review of standard and non-standard journals
  • Prepare and review of accruals and prepayments
  • Prepare of site VAT return, ECSL and Intrastats reporting
  • Reconciling all balance sheet accounts and reviewing designated balance sheet accounts allocated to assistants.
  • Analyse and resolve any un-reconcilable items on a timely basis
  • Provide appropriate and timely financial reports covering various metrics as required by site management, including monthly management accounts and variance analysis
  • Support Group and Divisional reporting requirements

About You
  • Ideally degree qualified (or equivalent) in a relevant subject with the desire to pursue professional accreditation.
  • Basic understanding of accounting processes.
  • Basic analytical skills.
  • Basic business application skills (Microsoft Excel, SAP, NAV).
  • Responsive customer service and communication skills.
  • Good teamwork skills
  • Willingness to embrace and support change, exhibiting flexibility in adjusting to business requirements
  • Able to successfully carry out role with low levels of support outside of complex issues
