About the role
We have an exciting, opportunity for a number of VAT Administrators to join the Finance team at our Business Service Centre in Caerphilly . The primary purpose of the role is to work with Finance colleagues to deliver a world class accounting service across the UK business.
Working in our state of the art facility you will get involved in an number of activities include preparing, collecting, and providing financial VAT information, acting as support for Accountants, ensuring compliance with financial controls and regulatory standards. This role will primarily focus on our customer base within Europe, but as required maybe to support financial services for customers within other countries and regions.
Your remit will include but not limited to:
  • Processing standard and non-standard Journals
  • Prepare standard accruals (e.g. cockpit, Open PO, bonus, PLC accruals) and prepayments
  • Raising sundry and inter-company sales invoices
  • Preparation of site VAT return, ECSL and Intrastats reporting
  • Ensure all transactions are recorded accurately and on a timely basis
  • Reconciling key balance sheet accounts (eg. receivables, payables)
  • Analyse and resolve any unreconciled items
About You
  • Good standard of basic education
  • Willingness to work towards AAT or currently studying
  • Basic understanding of accounting processes.
  • Basic analytical skills.
  • Basic business application skills (Microsoft Excel, SAP, NAV).
  • Responsive customer service and communication skills.
  • Good teamwork skills
