Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 per annum (DOE)

As Logistics Manager in our fast-paced and rapidly growing business you will be responsible for our main in-house warehouse operations, the management of our supplier base, our contract couriers, and outsourced operations. You will manage the warehouse, and supply chain teams with c. 50 FTE for a business with over £100m of sales.

Key Responsibilities

  • Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the warehouse and its staff, ensuring compliant and efficient working practices.
  • Assess and recommend appropriate working patterns to support the order volume.
  • Establish a direct labour plan and forecast to meet predicted demand.
  • Providing strong leadership and management to the warehouse team, including regular performance reviews.
  • Creation of KPIs to cover overall business performance from financial reporting e.g. stock value, weeks on hand, to individual performance e.g. error tracking.
  • Prepare reports for senior management and external regulatory bodies as appropriate.
  • Develop cost planning, tracking, and reporting to ensure all operational costs are managed to plan but can flex as demand fluctuations occur.
  • Lead on health and safety matters implementing quick and effective solutions where needed.
  • Overseeing all aspects of stock control, including warehouse organisation, location accuracy and safety stock levels.
  • Facility management – ensuring compliance with current regulations and ad hoc changes as required to support the business.
  • Manage the goods-in, picking and packing teams and supply chain team, setting objectives, and carrying out regular performance reviews.
  • Establish and role-model a culture of continuous improvement across all processes and systems.

What we are looking for

  • Experience in similar role in similar scaled and growing business or ready for that next step in your career.
  • Strong organisational and analytical skills with the ability to identify process improvement opportunities.
  • Good communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a cross functional role.
  • Strong leadership and people skills with the ability to motivate, set objectives and performance manage.
  • Excellent knowledge of health and safety measures in a warehouse environment.
  • Knowledge of stock control systems.
  • A proven track record in a logistics or distribution environment.
  • Integrity to manage and safeguard company culture and role model our values and behaviours.
  • Enjoy working within a fast-paced environment and adaptable to changing priorities.
  • Must have a supportive and approachable nature.
