We are seeking an exceptional digital Product Owner with experience of managing digital commerce products, to help define strategy and requirements and deliver the Future Jaguar Customer Commerce Experience. The role will report to the Platform Strategy Senior Manager

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Initially, using a cross section of inputs including customer data and research you will create an omnichannel commerce strategy for Future Jaguar covering not just vehicle sales but services, subscriptions and a wide variety of product offerings. You will work with the Jaguar Customer Offer and Sales teams to determine an associated product backlog & delivery roadmap alongside working with the Jaguar Land Rover commerce team.
  • Once in the delivery phase, you will be responsible for managing the meticulous crafting of key elements of an omnichannel modern luxury commerce experience that is a reflection and extension of the brand.
  • You’ll be a champion for consistently excellent user experience, solving the problems and blockers that might otherwise add friction, noise and a substandard outcome.
  • You’ll be deeply familiar with agile processes and methodologies and you’ll need to lead and steer agile delivery teams and external vendors, creating clear and concise user stories and rigorously managing and prioritising the product backlog, testing processes etc.
  • And of course you will be a dab hand at managing stakeholders and their expectations, at understanding their requirements and extracting from them the key inputs needed for the right outcome for the product development, the business and ultimately the customer.
  • You’ll promote digital workplace & collaboration capabilities and common approaches to reduce costs and improve business efficiency. You’ll ensure that projects are aligned to business and IT strategies and do not duplicate functionality.
  • You’ll be au-fait with current data legislation and will be comfortable ensuring that your products are designed with customer privacy and GDPR or equivalent local legislative compliance at their core, are secure and adhere to all JLR Infosec standards.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

Essential

  • Extensive digital commerce experience, ideally covering commerce solution deployment, operations and ongoing optimisation. Experience of commerce from both within and outside of the automotive sector preferable.
  • Product Management experience including delivery of digital technology based products from start to finish
  • Proven delivery capability of complex multi-dimensional and cross functional change projects
  • Project delivery experience covering analysis, design, test, deployment and operation of new products
  • Ability to successfully interact with senior stakeholders
  • Experience in the use of agile development methodologies
  • Sound understanding of disruptive technologies and innovation
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Experience of leading diverse teams, vendor staff management, mentoring and coaching junior staff to maximise performance
  • Track record of innovation and self-learning.

Desirable

  • Experience working for or with Luxury brands (automotive and non-automotive)
  • Educated to Bachelor’s Degree level or above preferably in a computing, systems, science / engineering or marketing
  • Experience ideally working for Blue-chip organisations and/or dynamic startups that have matured into successful businesses.
  • Proven strong interpersonal skills and a proven ability to develop and nurture relationships internally operations and externally with suppliers
