Main duties of the job

An exciting opportunity has arisen as Deputy Matron to join the highly sought after - Heart Services senior team.

We are looking for an inspirational, driven and motivated band 7 who seeks development at Speciality level with the support of the Matron.

We are looking for an exceptional individual who is proactive and motivated to deliver high-quality, safe and compassionate patient care, demonstrate excellent communication and organisational skills and work well within a cohesive multidisciplinary team.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated Deputy Matron to work alongside our already established Matron and part of the Speciality Management Team.

The post holder will have wonderful development opportunities, supporting the Matron and their team whilst working as part of the wider multi-disciplinary team. This challenging position involves providing excellent, strong leadership, ensuring the delivery of safe, effective and high quality patient care. You will be a key member of the team, progressing patient care pathways, and managing resources effectively whilst assisting in leading and developing a team of senior nurses.

It is anticipated the successful candidate will be a clinically credible senior nurse with proven experience at Ward Manager level ideally with Cardiology and/or Cardiac Surgery experience but this is not essential.

Salary: The quoted salary will be on a pro rata basis for part time workers.
