About the Role:
The Deputy Dean (Recruitment and Partnerships) will be central to leading the Faculty of Science and Engineering on implementing the faculty ambitions in relation to student recruitment for home and international students, and to help shape the future direction of our operational management. Responsible to the Pro Vice-Chancellor and Dean of Faculty, and the Pro Vice Chancellor of International & Partnerships & the Head of Admissions, the postholder will work as a core member of the Faculty Leadership Team and Chair the Faculty Recruitment Group.

Working with and supporting the Head of Faculty Operations, you will oversee the annual student number planning process for home and overseas students and support Schools to use strategic planning data to assess course performance compared to competitors, including working with the Faculty Marketing Manager to target courses to reach out recruitment targets.

You will bring motivational senior leadership experience in higher education or business with strong credentials across quality assurance, quality enhancement, learning and teaching, and student experience. You will be able to evidence a track record of experience of partnership working with business and educational organisations in the UK and overseas and working with home and international recruitment partners, and recruitment of UK and international students.

With a degree/professional qualification, PhD or Professional Doctorate, you will have advanced communication and presentation skills with an empathetic, collaborative and compassionate leadership style and committed to equality, diversity and inclusion and to nurturing a culture of research integrity and open research.

Please note that the post-holder will be required to travel to other sites and overseas as necessary.
