Are you looking for a new opportunity to work in a supportive team?

We are excited to be able to offer a Debt Recovery Officer an opportunity to join our Debt Recovery Team within Revenues and Benefits. The post will initially be at level 1.

This role provides a great chance to be part of a fast-growing team who deals with recovery of council rents, corporate sundry debts and housing benefit overpayments.

The role involves speaking to customers over the phone, making affordable repayment arrangements and dealing with correspondence and data input.

We are looking for someone who has the ability to process high volumes of work with speed and accuracy and is able to work under pressure to achieve targets.

You must be able to respond to queries from customers both internal and external by phone and email and provide cover for other teams within the service.

You’re a friendly and confident individual with excellent organisation and IT skills, Works well as a team player and has great communication skills.

Being able to prioritise your own work is essential.

Knowledge of dealing with vulnerable customers in a sensitive manner is essential to this role.
