Cyber Security Analyst – Penetration Testing LAF

As a Barclays Cyber Security Analyst – Penetration Testing LAF, you will join the chief information security officer as the bi-directional link on security. This will be the ideal role for someone who is technically minded and capable of supporting adherence to all penetration testing requirements through delivery of lifecycle penetration testing. You will drive and lead security assessments to aid in ensuring that the organisations assets and IT systems are appropriately protected against unauthorized activities.

What will you be doing?

  • Ensuring penetration testing plans for Lifecycle assurance and other forms of security assessment
  • You be regularly reviewing resource allocation and resolve priority conflicts
  • Supporting that penetration testing services are achieved in a cost effective manner and review resource allocation
  • Maintaining oversight of all application vulnerabilities as a result of penetration testing and other forms of security assessment
  • Ensuring any area of high risk are addressed by highlighting to senior management
  • Supporting the implementation of training and education programs on application security
  • Undertaking education and awareness activity with the development team to ensure robust understating of managing application security risks
  • Collaborating and build communities of engagement on application security

What We’re Looking For

  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Understanding of security strategies and technologies including security assessment methodologies and Vulnerability Management
  • Demonstrate ability to solve technical problems
  • Proactively seek training and development opportunities to maintains a wide breadth of technical understanding

  • Able to identify specific information security technical build guides and best practice deficiencies within the global organization and drive cross-functional correction strategies
  • Ability to articulate technical concepts and security risk to non-technical business owners and management
  • Able to balance business impact, cost and risk against technical criticality
  • Able to contribute to best practices for security management

Where will you be working?

You will be based in Radbroke, Knutsford. The Barclays Technology Campus just outside Manchester is our tech command centre and a vital strategic powerhouse behind our global operations. The campus is set in a 64-acre self-contained site, in a beautiful green environment and it offers unrivalled facilities for work and for play.
