Company Secretarial AssistantHuntsman is a global chemical manufacturing organisation with over 9,000 staff and manufacturing sites across 75 countries. We are now looking to recruit a Company Secretarial Assistant in the UK working predominantly home-based to join our Global Legal Team.
As Company Secretarial Assistant you will work primarily with our senior corporate counsel and other paralegals globally, as well as with internal lawyers and other functions (e.g., tax and treasury) to provide corporate information and general corporate assistance. Furthermore, you will be responsible for the creation of bibles of signed contracts for completed corporate projects and provide administrative support and assistance for corporate projects.
Additionally, As The Company Secretarial Assistant, You Will
(Under the supervision & guidance of Huntsman internal lawyers)
- Work as part of an in-house team to assist with the corporate governance and management of the global Huntsman legal entity structure
- Maintain and update Huntsman’s legal entity database
- Work with local outside counsel in various jurisdictions to prepare minutes, resolutions, powers of attorney and other corporate governance documents
- Work with service providers to obtain corporate documents (e.g., certificates, translations, and legalizations)
- Organize and prepare materials for annual general meetings
- Minimum of three years company secretarial experience in a law firm (international law firm preferred) or in-house legal department (global company preferred) is required
- Diploma in Company Secretarial Studies is desirable
- Proficiency in IT skills (Advance Word Processing and Excel)
- Collaborative team-player mindset, with a flexible and ambitious approach
- Excellent interpersonal skills to liaise and communicate with managers and directors within the businesses, at all levels, of diversified cultures and based at various locations worldwide
- Proactive, very good organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and to handle sensitive and confidential information
- Fluency in written and spoken English is a must, additional language skills are a benefit
