The Role: My client a supportive and engaging membership organisation based in north Warwickshire are seeking to recruit a permanent Communications & Engagement Manager.

This role reports into the Director of Marketing & Communications and will be responsible for evolving the internal and external communications strategy to help raise engagement levels and ensure that organisational initiatives and projects are successfully and consistently communicated to staff both within the UK and Internationally. The individual will be responsible for creating, managing and delivering a communications plan that will include both online and offline communication tools, activities, campaigns and relevant content.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To create and manage an annual internal communications plan
  • Manage the businesses Intranet to ensure that the content is up to date and relevant
  • Work with the HR team to collate staff engagement feedback and produce reports for the senior management team (SMT)
  • Work on external communication to ensure employees and members are aware of current & planned communications activities, providing additional support across a variety of communication channels including social media
  • To support the Chief Executive and SMT members on staff briefing presentations – written and virtual e.g. webinar presentations
  • Prepare staff communications and updates using a range of internal communication tools - Intranet, webinars, internal campaigns
  • Work collaboratively with the whole marketing team to ensure all communication materials are created in-line with brand guidelines and use the most appropriate channels
  • Skilled in creating marketing communications and content creation using a variety of communication channels including social media – LinkedIn, Twitter

The ideal candidate for this Communications & Engagement role will have both internal and external communications and be able to effectively communicate complex information to staff and external members in an easy to understand manner. You will be a confident, creative copywriter and have excellent communications skills, both written and verbal, be able to engage and build relationships with key stakeholders and have a strong attention to detail. You will have a strong digital skillset in being able to create online polls and surveys and have significant experience in creating engaging social media posts and confident using platforms such as Hootsuite.

This role would suit a Communications Executive, Communications Specialist, Communications Manager, Internal Communications Specialist, External Communications Specialist, Internal Communications Manager, External Communications Manager.

This role is commutable from my clients offices in Rugby where you will only be required to attend 2-3 days/week. Other commutable locations are: Rugby, Nuneaton, Bedworth, Leicester, Coventry, Leamington Spa, Warwick, Stratford upon Avon, Lutterworth, Daventry, Southam, Northampton, Hinckley, Market Harborough.
