We’re looking for a creative Communications & Engagement Executive to join our Internal Comms department, as part of our wider HR team. It’s a new role and we expect the interest to be high, so don’t delay applying!


What to expect?


Working collaboratively together with Jonny, you will write in a way that is friendly and engaging, breaking down the jargon, making the information easy to read and digest. This is what we at Simpson Millar, are all about. We’re the Open Lawyers, open and transparent in the advice we offer. We believe that must start from within the firm.


Alongside your creative writing, you will be responsible for some design work, capturing success stories, illustrating these using Canva and Adobe Suite. Stakeholder management, liaising with internal departments, ensuring our communications schedule is up to date and on track and of course, we’ll involve you in projects.


How will you be rewarded?


We’re offering a permanent contract, salary £20,000 working 37.5 hours per week, however we would consider applications from a more experienced individual on a part time basis, working 21 hours per week. 25 days annual leave, plus public holidays, company pension, sick pay, flexible working hours and working from home (IT provided)


We’re open to applications from across the UK, however given that the wider team are Leeds based, there may be some occasional travel into the Leeds city centre office, so please consider this when applying.


Who are you?


This is a great opportunity to a Graduate, with limited experience, to come in and learn on the job. Equally as appealing to someone experienced in the industry, who is looking for part time hours.


Either way, you’ll be able to demonstrate your written communication style, with a great eye for formatting, able to proofread and analyse surveys.
