We’re currently looking to add an experienced Solicitor/Partner to join the team in Bristol.

We’re looking for someone with strong experience within Asbestos & Mesothelioma cases, and whilst there’s an existing caseload to manage, we would expect that you brought a strong referral network within the local area, and the ability to generate business within this niche area of law.

What the role will involve?

• Leading our Industrial Disease team within the Bristol office
• Taking instructions from clients and offering sound legal advice taking into account their own particular circumstances
• Managing an existing caseload of disease claims and hit financial billing targets
• Attending support groups and legal drop-ins as required in order to maintain existing relations with the firm’s clients
• Develop new relationships with third parties to help generate new business
• Supervision and development of junior colleagues

What sort of person are we looking for?

This role requires someone who realises that the clients you are working with are in a difficult time of their life, often this is an end of life situation. So, there’s a need to be empathetic, kind and caring. Often being engaged on the litigation matter will lead to the client requiring further legal advice in areas such as Pensions & Benefits or Wills, so having an understanding of when this is suitable, and when a specialist colleague can practically assist.

And in return?

You can expect a basic salary up to £70,000 plus excellent benefits and a strong bonus package – including a generous holiday allowance up to 38 days including bank holidays.
