We welcome applications from candidates who have an interest in the current health and social care and community safety landscape – particularly domestic violence and abuse.

About Us

Warwickshire County Council is moving at pace to deliver an ambitious vision for transforming Care and Support for Adults, Children and Young People, and their families. Our People Strategy and Commissioning Service has been re-designed to deliver a challenging all age portfolio of projects across Public Health and Social Care; supporting models of integrated delivery focused on assets and strengths, improving outcomes, and preventing escalation of need.

It is an exciting time to be an employee of Warwickshire County Council as we continue to drive forward in achieving our ambition and vision of "Warwickshire County Council, a great place to work with outstanding leadership, and a talented, agile workforce".

The Role

Working as a member of the Vulnerable People’s Team, the role will focus on monitoring, developing, and reviewing domestic abuse services, to drive a high performing culture. You will also be responsible for the delivery of the Safer Warwickshire Violence Against Women and Girls Strategy and Delivery Plan, working collaboratively with a wide range of partner agencies such as Warwickshire Police and the Coventry and Warwickshire Integrated Care Board. The successful candidate will be instrumental in commissioning services to support victim-survivors of domestic abuse across the county, to ensure that the ambitions within the Safer Warwickshire Violence Against Women and Girls Strategy, are delivered. You will work with the Lead Commissioner and other Commissioners to develop and lead activity.

Success in this role will require a high degree of resilience, empathy, excellent project management skills, an ability to manage and maintain effective relationships with providers and a breadth of different partner agencies at both a local, regional, and national level.

This is a fixed term post until August 2025.
