A fantastic and exciting opportunity has arisen in Neurosciences Outpatients Department for a highly motivated Nursing Assistant.You will be joining a friendly, supportive team, working within an exciting and challenging specialty, learning new skills and gaining experience in caring for patients.We are a dynamic unit aiming to provide a service tailored to the individuals needs’ as well as ensuring our staff are supported through regular clinical supervision, educational programs and on-going professional development. The ward actively supports nurse-led activities, offering opportunities for professional and personal development.Our focus is always to provide the best possible patient care and our values reflect those of the Trust: Compassion, Delivery, Excellence, Learning, Respect and Improvement.As a member of the team be able to prioritise and contribute to the delivery of high standards of care to patients, families and their carers in a safe and supportive environment under the direction of a registered practitioner. As part of the wider team assist in developing and maintaining services provided to patients and contribute to the safe, efficient and smooth running of the ward/clinical area/department. To maintain the dignity and privacy of all patients and their families and carers and respect their right to confidentiality. To complete and maintain on an ongoing basis a generic core and specific portfolio of clinical competencies and/or Care Certificate as required. To be motivated to review progress with Manager at regular intervals through the appraisal process. Understand own level of responsibility, scope of practice and accountability and at all times act within own capabilities.Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust has a rich tradition of developing nursing and midwifery practice and of delivering excellence in patient care. In addition role there are further opportunities to progress into Nursing as a Nursing Associate or into Nurse training as part of the Trust’s secondment scheme.If you are successful in being shortlisted for this role you will have a Values Based Interview (VBI) as part of the standard selection process along with a short technical interview.
