We are pleased to be able to offer this exciting opportunity to play a vital role in planning and delivering this service in the future.

We are looking for a pro-active, motivated individual who enjoys working in a challenging and busy environment within the Ophthalmology Department. The successful candidate will need to have experience of working in the NHS and Knowledge of the 18 week Pathway. Applicants should be well organised with excellent communicational skills and able to work well under pressure and be a key team player. The appointed candidate will be managing and coordinating the ophthalmology new patient appointment’s ensuring that both routine and urgent patients are treated in line with clinical need and waiting list policy. You will also be responsible for weekly PTL management and will inform the Outpatient Booking Team Leader of any capacity issues identifying patients that cannot be treated within the 18 week referral to treatment (RTT) targets.

Computer literacy and good customer service skills are a must although full training will be given.
