An exciting opportunity has arisen for dynamic and committed Clinical/Counselling Psychologist or Psychological Therapist to join the Sunderland and South Tyneside EIP team.

You will be supported by dedicated and experienced MDT, with strong, progressive and supportive leadership from the clinical lead and pathway manager.

You will join another experienced band 8a psychologist in the team and will be professionally led by a consultant clinical psychologist, ensuring that there is always support from psychology available for the post holder.

You will also join a healthy, locality wide psychological service, with good access to a wide rage of expertise and supervision. We meet monthly, with an emphasis on CPD and service development.

The post is primarily a clinical one. You will play a key role in offering access to NICE concordant psychological therapies for people with first episode psychosis.

You will also be developed within the role, and we have an excellent track record of training up new staff in formal psychological therapies such as EMDR, and supporting staff in gaining CBT accreditation with the BABCP.

You will also join a very active research and evaluation service, with a number of publications to our name. Psychology also lead on an extensive training programme across the locality.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and driven individual to join our team, someone keen to learn and develop as a therapist, as well as supporting the wider team; someone who will help us take steps forward in our overall psychological approach to psychosis within EIP.
