Northumberland & North Tyneside Crisis Team are happy to offer an exciting Band 6 Community Practitioner opportunity within Universal Crisis Team. The Universal Crisis Team, offers mental health assessment and intervention to service users of all ages, depending on their needs.

The offered post will sit within the Children & Young Person Pathway. The service offers urgent triage and assessment of children & young people experiencing mental health difficulties, as well as intensive home-based treatment or hospital admission where appropriate. The successful post-holders will be expected to work across all of these areas and should possess sound clinical skills in assessment, formulation, management of risk and therapeutic interventions.

Applicants should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills along with a strong commitment to the delivery of high quality, safe patient care.

Applicants should also be able to drive, as if successful will be required to travel across Northumberland & North Tyneside to provide patient care.

The service operates a 24h shift pattern, 7 days per week. Applicants will therefore be expected to work some unsocial hours.
