ARU’s research institutes and four faculties bridge scientific, technical and creative fields. We are the largest provider of Nursing, Midwifery, Health and Social Care students in the East of England, and we are also among the UK’s leading universities for degree apprenticeship provision, working with hundreds of employers across the UK.

About the Role:
Our University Eye Clinic is a facility for the teaching of Optometry students, as well as for providing specialist vision testing and clinical care directly to the community. We seek to appoint an Optometrist to provide clinical supervision for our students and to provide eye care outside the teaching trimesters.

With a degree in Optometry and General Optical Council (GOC) registration as an Optometrist, you’ll have an interest and experience in student supervision as well as provision of general and specialised clinics as required. You will have excellent communication skill and will have the ability to meet deadlines, sometimes under pressure. You’ll show a willingness to contribute to the collective life of the Faculty.
