We are currently recruiting Civil Enforcement Officers to be deployed on foot, cycles, Mopeds and Cars at our Worthing base.
Our Civil Enforcement Officers are the eyes and ears of the local community, patrolling areas, providing advice to residents and members of the public whilst enforcing road traffic orders. You will play a significant role in reducing congestion and improving the air quality through the enforcement of parking restrictions.
We have full time and part time positions and are fully aware that people need flexibility in the hours they work. Therefore, we offer full time contracts of 42.5 hours per week and part time offering anything from 2 - 5 days per week. Talk to us about what works for you.

What you will need.
You must enjoy dealing with people, be friendly polite, and willing to offer support, advice and assistance to colleagues and customers. PC skills would also be an advantage, as you will be using a handheld device daily.
Your day-to-day duties may include but not limited to
Patrolling streets and car parks, checking regulations are being followed
Checking parking tickets and issuing Penalty Charge Notices PCNs
Giving advice to the public on parking regulations and facilities within your area
Using handheld computers for printing, issuing, and recording PCNs
Writing simple reports and pocketbook notes
Using radios to communicate with your supervisor’s
Checking parking meters and car park equipment, reporting damage or faults
Reporting defective signs and road markings or any suspect vehicles
Working with other enforcement teams like police community support officers or the police, to report crimes or anti-social behaviour
