What this role has to offer:

Due to internal career progression, we are looking for a Business Change Manager to be part of a collaborative, supportive, multi-discipline team of change professionals focusing on the impact of change on our people. The team includes Business Change, Communications, Engagement and Learning and Development specialists, all working together to set new standards and develop change management within the central Information Services (IS) function on it’s transformational journey to deliver Next Generation IS to our employees. You’ll gain exposure to the breadth of Thales UK business involved with a diverse range of IS change projects.

Our Opportunity:

Making sure our employees are informed about and understand the benefits and use of new Information Services (IS) tools and services within the business helps everyone to perform at their best. You’ll be part of a team that makes it easy for our people to understand the benefits of our NextGen IS tools, when to use them and how. As Business Change Manager you’ll play an integral role in ensuring the success of IS change projects, bridging the gap between IS and employees to minimise disruption and achieve project benefits as quickly as possible.

To achieve this, you’ll understand what our new IS tools will do, who they will be useful for, what benefits they will have for our users and what changes they might bring to how we work. You’ll create a change management plan which includes comms, engagement and learning, where required, and support during go live. You may also measure usage of tools, update on comms and engagement activity and undertake analysis of impacted user groups and the impact of the change. You’ll use effective business change tools and techniques we help people feel informed, involved and listened to throughout the change, demonstrating the benefits to help sustain lasting positive impact.

You’ll typically partner with an IS project manager on a portfolio of changes, and will be responsible for the people elements of the change - change leadership, end-user change process, communications and training. You’ll liaise with vendors and internal partners including branding specialists, business representatives and sponsor(s), internal communications team and Thales Training and consultancy.

You’ll deliver the Business Change Management process including vision statement, change impact assessment, stakeholder mapping, communications and training plans and materials.

You can be based at any location and work from home. Travel to Crawley will be required approximately every 2 weeks and travel to other UK sites as required.

About You:

You’ll be an experienced people change manager with any industry background:

  • CCMA (Certified Change Management Professional) qualification; APMG CMI or ProSci Accreditation or equivalent.
  • Industry or consulting experience in a people change management capacity working on large transformation programmes.
  • Experience in conducting change impact assessments and business readiness surveys.
  • Track record of delivering continuous service improvement initiatives to enhance customer experience.
  • Advanced stakeholder management capabilities, able to engage, influence and overcome obstacles or any resistance effectively. Resilient and tenacious.
  • Comfortable adapting to and understanding new technology. Confident level of IT literacy.
  • Strong facilitation skills.
  • Highly collaborative.
  • Good analytical skills.

In line with Thales’ Baseline Security requirements, candidates will be asked to provide evidence of identity, eligibility to work in the UK and employment and/or education history for up to three years.
