Front of House/Receptionist

We have an exciting opportunity for a customer-focused Front of House/Receptionist to join the team at the newly established Ebbw Vale campus. What does the job involve?

  • First point of contact for the Thales Ebbw Vale Campus (including the National Digital Exploitation Centre and ResilientWorks projects), delivering a first class service to a diverse range of visitors and guests, ensuring a professional, efficient and customer-focused experience consistently.
  • Supporting all areas of Front of House as required; including reception, meetings rooms and organising refreshments.
  • Ensuring customer/visitor requirements are effectively planned, communicated and delivered and post-event evaluations completed to identify any opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Setting up meeting rooms, presentation equipment and ensuring presentation content is current and ready for use.
  • Monitoring the quality of the campus environment and ensuring the highest standards are maintained, reporting any facilities issues to the facilities management team and following through to resolution.
  • 37 hours per week Monday to Friday, commencing 8:00am. Some flexibility on finish times may be required when events are taking place.Friday hours will vary depending on business need; however, it is generally a shorter working day finishing at 1:30pm.

What are we looking for?

  • Experienced in Front of House or Reception; ideally gained within a corporate or hospitality environment. Passionate about delivering exceptional customer service and seeking opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Computer literate (Excel, Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, Outlook E-mail). Willing to learn new IT systems where necessary and with support.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills,
  • Ability to establish and meet deadlines, prioritise own workload and multi-task.
  • Able to work off own initiative and with minimal direction.
  • Flexible, proactive team player with an enthusiastic attitude.
