Digital Software Engineer – Flexible UK Location

We are looking for a talented software engineer, with experience producing web applications fed by a micro-service oriented architecture, to join Thales Training Solutions at what is an exciting time.

You will be joining an existing team of dynamic engineers to play a key role in delivering Thales’ next generation of simulation and training services.

The teams work within an Agile development environment, using modern Continuous Integration (CI) processes and tooling.

Your role

  • Undertake the specification, design, implementation, test and integration of software in line with company processes and to required standards

  • Accurately define and estimate required effort for tasks

  • Contribute to successfully meet project and product deliverables within schedule and to budget

  • Produce quality software products by ensuring interfaces are well defined and documented, as well as correctly adhered to and understood

  • Mentor and share knowledge with junior team members

  • Work closely with Systems engineering to ensure traceable verification and validation of requirements

  • Professionally interact with internal and external customers to understand their needs

  • Provide feedback on the efficiency and effectiveness of the development environment

We are looking for talented software engineers that meet some or all of the requirements below:

  • Angular or React

  • JavaScript / TypeScript

  • HTML

  • CSS

  • Software Continuous Integration & Delivery (CI/CD) ways of working

  • Full software development lifecycle experience

Additional Security Information

Due to the sensitive nature of much of the work undertaken by Thales Training Solutions, all applicants must hold or be eligible for UK MoD Security Clearance (SC level minimum).

In line with Thales’ Baseline Security requirements, candidates will be asked to provide evidence of identity, eligibility to work in the UK and employment and/or education history for up to three years.
