The Building Services Manager Role

We are looking for a Building Services Manager on our £50m Student Accommodation in Oxford. If you’re an experienced Building Services Manager interested in opportunities the Oxford area, this is your opportunity to work on career-enhancing building projects for one of the industry’s leading names.

Reporting to the Project’s Senior Building Services Manager, your responsibilities will include but not limited to:

• To supervise and motivate a team of mechanical, electrical or plumbing sub-contractor operatives assigned to the installation of the building services identified in your scope of works.
• Producing and reviewing Method Statements, Risk Assessments and Inspection and Test Plans (paying particular attention to safety & quality requirements)
• Assist the Works Manager in the management of site health and safety.
• Taking ownership for all CAT A fit out areas including the management of the building services sub-contractors, allocating and monitoring work.
• Managing quality assurance processes. This includes quality inspections, witnessing testing and commissioning and a general eye for detail where the MEP services are largely exposed.

Your profile

• A successful track record of working on multi-million pound construction projects.
• Practical or technical building services background
• In-depth knowledge of Building Regulations, Codes of Practice and Standard Practices
• Substantial practical experience with a good all round knowledge of all the building services disciplines including heating, hot water, ventilating, refrigeration, environmental, electrical power and distribution and public health.
• Site Safety Supervisors Safety Training Scheme 2 Day qualification
