Liverpool-based Firesprite are searching for an Associate Art Director to join them either in-studio, or remotely from anywhere in the UK!
This role delivers all of Firesprite’s co-development work, plus some strategically important games, and software for the company. In this role you will get to work on some of the biggest games in the industry.

Reporting to the Studio Art Director in this innovative role, you will be working alongside a Game Director and Development Coordinator across all titles in the department.

As the Studio Associate Art Director, you will be the creative leader for the art teams, and responsible for the quality of the delivery of each of the teams in the department. You might interface with clients, understanding their goals and imagineering content to deliver outstanding software to hit these goals. You will be working with some of the best artistic talent in the industry; and supporting the development of talent fresh to the industry.


Your role and responsibilities will include...
  • Working with key project stakeholders
  • Assisting the Studio Art Director with creating and maintaining style guides for a project
  • Reviewing and critiquing artwork and communicating this back to art leads or artist for a given piece of work
  • Nurturing new talent with your considerable experience
  • Supporting cross-discipline efforts to bring in exciting new projects to the department



The skills and experience you’ll need...
  • A thorough understanding of the latest art workflows for video game development
  • In-depth knowledge of all aspects of game development
  • Strong leadership skills gained working in a game studio

Bonus points if you have...
  • UE4 and/or Unity knowledge
  • Experience leading multi disciplined Art teams working on AAA games
