I’m working with the fabulous Modern Wolf in their search for a Head of Production. Founded in 2019, Modern Wolf is a London-based publisher of weird and wonderful strategy games from developers all over the world. Their portfolio includes Rogue State Revolution, Out There: Oceans of Time and Ostranauts to name a few.

Modern Wolf are looking for a Head of Production to lead the publishing team, as the Head of Production you will be responsible for the quality of every game that Modern Wolf publishes and be an essential part of the leadership team.

You will report to the CEO and work with a diverse group of game developers based across the globe, delivering unique and innovative strategy games. You will lead the production teams and integrate closely with all facets of the publishing team to own end-to-end game production.

The skills you’ll bring to the role...

• Significant experience in a Project Management or Producer role; you will have managed multiple projects from inception to launch
• Comfortable in a leadership role, with previous experience of line management
• At ease managing budgets and P&Ls
• A love of strategy games coupled with a deep knowledge of the indie games space
• A sense of curiosity and love of learning will see you align with two of Modern Wolf’s values

Your key responsibilities...

• Work with development teams to produce high quality and entertaining games on time and on budget
• Work with developers to create roadmaps and key project deliverables
• Communication of project status throughout the organisation and to key stakeholders
• Help manage relationships with 1st party partners and own the certification and submission processes; you will be Modern Wolf’s subject matter expert on 1st party standards
• Manage in-house and external QA resources
• Coordination with the marketing department
• Help assess inbound game pitches for catalogue fit and commercial potential

Modern Wolf are currently working remotely due to the pandemic and will be returning to the office to some degree this year. The head of Production role will be required to attend in-person meetings in London at least once per month, for the rest of the time you can work remotely from anywhere in the UK.
