Job Introduction

BBC iPlayer is at the forefront of our strategic goal to reinvent the BBC for young audiences and we have ambitious targets to maintain our position as a market leader. We are now looking for an Assistant Content Producer to join the team for 12 months.

The iPlayer Editorial Team’s focus is to curate and optimise content on iPlayer to provide a world class service for our audiences.

We work in a creative environment that is audience and data driven, shaping the future of a more personalised iPlayer through collaboration with colleagues in Content, Design & Engineering and Marketing & Audiences.

Main Responsibilities

We are looking for someone who can bring their passion for the BBC’s TV output to the curation of promotional inventory across BBC iPlayer and third party platforms.

You will have a keen eye for detail and a creative mind-set to plan and schedule content for a diverse range of audiences across a range of genres, ensuring a proposition of the highest quality.

With iPlayer at the heart of the BBC’s strategy, you will be expected to work with teams across the BBC in order to ensure that output reflects wider editorial and marketing priorities.

Please see the appendix of the attached Job Description for a full list of role responsibilities.
