What To Expect

We are looking for a Senior Security Analyst looking to develop their Security skills.

The role involves working with a team of Security Architects to deliver significant additional capability into JLR’s Information Security environment. The role will allow the candidate to better understand Security principles, work across a diverse number of projects and domains within JLR. The candidate will have good detective skills, be able to work analytically and be able to support the wider ICS team.

This is a development role for an enthusiastic person keen to improve and gain more experience.

The individual will be expected to work well within a matrix management environment, with separate reporting lines for line management and technical direction, whilst also supporting agile delivery methodologies. The role will be primarily Gaydon based, with occasional travel to other teams in Manchester and Ireland. Hybrid / flexible working will be possible.

You’ll be:
  • Identify information security risks and proactively work to ensure that Information risk are identified, assessed and mitigated across the business.
  • Work within the established governance processes to ensure that new IT solutions are delivered to a high standard of security. Contribute to the refinement and improvement of such governance processes.
  • Collaboration with the wider Information Technology Management community to provide information security advice ensure that the appropriate technologies in place to protect the information of the business
  • Work with the business to identify and understand future Information security risks and provide appropriate input to ensure that such risks are minimised ahead if time.
  • Identify information security threats and vulnerabilities within projects and programmes, assess information security risks and advise the relevant team on appropriate methods and security configurations to protect and prevent impact to business systems
  • Monitor trends in information security and incorporate into departmental strategy
  • Undertake any other work as directed by their line manager in connection with their job as may be requested

What You’ll Need

Essential:
  • Basic understanding of Private and Public Cloud environments, toolsets with experience in implementation of these toolsets and application of recognised frameworks, e.g. NIST, NCSC
  • Good knowledge of Information Security
  • Some working knowledge of industry IT compliance standards, particularly in design and implementation
  • Some knowledge of information security principles and best practices and experience in managing information security risk
  • Relevant degree or equivalent experience preferred

Desirable:
  • Knowledge and experience in Information Security Auditing Techniques
  • Advanced IT security certifications such as CISSP or similar
