Are you a keen surgical pharmacist or looking to progress you career in surgical specialities? Then this may be the post for you. We are looking for a pharmacist to lead our services to our tertiary centre for vascular surgery and work within our Specialist Surgery and Ophthalmology team. The OUH vascular surgery centre also forms part of the regional network. Specialist Surgery comprises ENT, maxfax, vascular and plastic surgery and the team also provides a pharmacy service to the Oxford Eye Hospital.

Our pharmacy department at Oxford University Hospitals is progressive and pioneering and we are looking for an intuitive, enthusiastic, versatile pharmacist to join our team.

This is a newly created post, so plenty of scope to make it your own and direct the future of the vascular surgery/specialist surgery pharmacy service.

The ideal candidate will be a pharmacist with relevant experience in a surgical setting with an ability to balance the day to day with building and future proofing a service. They will be able to develop and adapt the pharmacy service to balance the needs of the vascular surgery CSU and the pharmacy department, and to deputise for the lead pharmacist in the team.

Our Trust Quality priorities this year are reducing medicines harm from opiates and insulin, both of which are used extensively across vascular surgery and so there will be opportunity to join up with these work streams and implement ideas at a local level.
