Due to the continued success of the College’s Sector-Based Work Academy provision, alongside our intention to fully explore the opportunities presented within the new Skills for Jobs white paper, we are seeking to recruit a talented practitioner with the ability to deliver across a range of employability programmes to join our Adult Education Business Development Team as an Adult Education Tutor - Employability.

What you will do?

The person appointed to this interesting and varied role will be passionate about working with unemployed individuals. You will be an expert at broadening your learner’s horizons and removing the barriers to learning and employment in their chosen careers. You will play an instrumental role in the College’s delivery of outstanding adult education programmes to both learners and employers across the North East of England.

Working closely with several key strategic employer partners, you will support learners through all stages of their learner journey to develop the job relevant knowledge, skills and behaviours to secure employment.

This is a permanent, full-time post and the starting salary will depend upon an individual’s level of experience. Regional travel will be required as part of the role; therefore, use of your own transport, a current valid driving licence and business insurance is essential.
